In 2016, Haunting: Australia lost two of its integral cast members, Narrator Davi Ritchie & metaphysicist, Gaurav Tiwari - may they rest in peace.
David Ritchie: 15th May 1944 - 16th January 2016
Gaurav Tiwari: 2nd August 1984 -7th July 2016
Gaurav Tiwari and I first became friends in 2009 through facebook. We would often share ideas and theories on paranormal subjects and help each other with cases in our own countries.
We often joked that one day we would work together in person on a project, and that project became reality when Robb Demarest pitched Haunting: Australia in 2011. Two years later we met in person at Artamon in NSW, and spent 5 weeks working on filming the show.
In 2015, with Robb Demarest and Rayleen Kable, we toured Australia investigating haunted sites with fans of the show.
In 2016, we discussed the possibility of a "Ted Talk" style tour of Australia, discussing paranormal topics, techniques and experience, but unfortunately fate stepped in, and took Gaurav from us.
I still think of him all the time, and often go to email questions too him, only to remember he is gone from our side, to the otherside.
May he Rest in Peace.
